Quilt Market Teaser #3 + Giveaway

A Sneak Peak at Birch Fabrics Circa 52

This past weekend we organized a photo-shoot of some wonderful products we crafted with the Circa 52 fabric collection that we will debut at Quilt Market in a few weeks.  We are fortunate to live in California, enjoying wonderful weather most of the year and this weekend didn't disappoint; we had such beautiful sunny days for the shoot.

Circa 52 is a follow up collection to the highly successful Circa 50, both designed exclusively for Birch Fabrics by Monaluna.  Circa 52 is an eclectic collection of whimsical retro designs with an inviting contemporary color palette.

Here are a few behind-the-scenes photographs from the shoot as we set everything up and the children played.

  179. It depends how large the pieces are... for FQs I would use them as accents in handbags (peeking out of pleats maybe?!). Any remnants would go to good use in my patchwork ;)

If there's metreage I'd be tempted to use them for borders and sashing in a baby quilt I have been commissioned to make theat is primarily solids, but with patterned accents.

  180. What cute fabrics. I will be making a new quilt for my little niece soon. She will be moving to a 'big girls' bed this weekend and her babyquilt is too small by now. This fabricline is just adorable to make her a 'big girls' quilt.

  182. I've been in the mood to make a clutch/purse lately and I think a few of those would make a great clutch/purse! They would make great baby bibs as well!

  183. I would use them to make new animations with, like I used fabrics for this one: http://vimeo.com/27281567 . The patterns of your collection would suit well for some of the things I plan to make soon. :]

  185. There are so many lovely fabrics suitable for a childs bedroom. I would kit out the nursery for my newborn by making curtains/blind, wall hanging with loads of pockets for the changing area to hold nappies etc, cover for a breastfeeding cushion, changing bag, cover some foam cubes for play blocks, mobile....there are so many otions. Hopefully I will have the time to make them all!
