Sewing for Boys Camp Modern Style!

On Friday our Jay-Cyn Designs Camp Modern sample yardage arrived! I haven't been so excited to jump on the sewing machine in a long time. The fabric is soft and easy to sew with, and the designs are sophisticated and fun! My two boys were taken with the Bear Hike Design, so I whipped up a couple of applique Tees and some matching PJ Pants. The Fois Bois print worked great for coordinating pockets. I hope you like them!

  1. Super cute! Loving the jammie pants. What pattern did you use?

  2. Hi Mel, I just used a standard jammie pant pattern, and drew a pocket on a piece of paper, I made it bigger for my seven year old. I just free hand drew the pocket. I folded the curve over and hemmed it, and then top stitched the pocket onto the pant before sewing then up. It worked out perfectly. It's easy because they are the same size waist, so I use the same jammie pant pattern for both, I just make Anderson, my seven year olds about 5" longer. :)
